Vintage 1981
This is an illustration cut out of a 1981 issue of the US TV Guide. Edward Gorey's illustrations appeared in a number of issues of TV Guide. He was an insatiable consumer of television programmes. The nicely coloured illustration is classic Gorey.
The magazine is small format so this full page image measures just 5 by 7 and a quarter inches. There is a rather amusing advertisement on the reverse for a Sears Christmas menswear sale!
I have listed this for auction on eBay as of tonight, August 15th, 2014 - starting price just £1.50. These look great framed.
